Emotional Intelligence and Wellness: “Connecting Brain, Body and Soul” Presented by Kate Larsen

You seek to be well. We all do. So what’s the science behind this universal goal of ours, and what does emotional intelligence have to do with it?

People often use the terms “wellness” and “wellbeing” interchangeably. As they relate to emotional intelligence, however, there is a distinct and important difference between them. Understanding this distinction may change your perspective as you guide yourself and/or others toward better health, wellness and wellbeing.

Our growing understanding of neuroscience clearly supports the belief that specific factors of emotional intelligence directly impact wellness. In fact, the scientific community is increasingly connecting the dots between our brains, emotional intelligence and wellness.

Kate Larsen understands this connection. Kate has taught groups and individuals about emotional intelligence for years, and combined that experience with brain expertise by earning an executive masters in neuro-leadership. She has also witnessed this wellness-emotion-brain connection in real life situations during her 30 years of executive coaching and speaking.

Armed with the latest research and a healthy dose of fun, Kate will discuss:

  • How you can increase your wellness by understanding how it’s impacted by emotional intelligence and neuroscience.
  • 8 essential EQ competencies that can help increase your stamina, energy, resilience and physical health.
  • “Happy chemicals” in our brain and why we also need the unhappy ones.
  • Tips to recognize lifestyle habits and develop behaviors to increase your energy, resilience, emotional space (margin) and mindfulness—all integral parts of wellness.
  • Specific ideas to proactively enhance areas of your personal and professional life to improve your health and wellbeing.

If you are a coach, consultant, trainer, leader or other influencer, Kate’s presentation will also help increase your effectiveness in influencing others to improve their wellbeing and wellness. This can in turn increase their productivity, engagement and contribution to the workplace.

Whether you’re seeking wellness for yourself, a client, or a friend or family member, this interactive and engaging discussion on the connection between wellness, emotional intelligence and neuroscience will prepare you to take the right steps using your brain, body and soul.
